Food Trailer
October 2010 saw the launch of the “Food Trailer Ministry” which has proved to be an incredible success in helping us love people. The "Team" go out on a Monday night into the heart of Galway with the Food Trailer and park very close to the homeless centre and serve free stuff, usually hot chocolate, Pot-Noodles, Tea and Coffee. This is welcomed by the passer-by, the taxi man who leaves his car, the homeless, and others out for a night on the town who are happy to stop and chat. This outreach provides an opportunity for us to get to know people. Our ambition over the next few months is to fully utilise the “Food Trailer / Mobile Kitchen” to serve some warm snacks and meals. People matter to God.

Food Pantry
With increased unemployment and poverty in the city Discovery “Food Pantry” ministry (ACTS – a call to serve) is seeking to help hungry families on a regular bases with free food. We seek to do that in a way which preserves the dignity of those we have the privilege to serve. I encourage folks to continue to bring food each week so we can reach more people with Gods love in this practical way.

Healing On The Streets
We are relaunching this ministry and should be out on the streets most Sundays afternoons in Galway. We don’t pretend to be able to heal anyone it is only God who can heal. And we don't presume that people always get healed just because we pray. However we do have the courage to consistently take a gentle prayer ministry onto the streets of Galway and in doing what Jesus did we have seen lives changed in powerful ways.
