God is deserving of our adoration . John 4 v.24. Phil 2 v. 9 – 11. Psalm 103 v.1 -5. We therefore meet together for times of corporate Praise and Worship but also set our daily lives aside as ongoing acts of worship. Furthermore, we aspire toward excellence in ministry and in life. This is the best we can do with what we have. Col 3 v. 17. 2 Sam 24 v.24

We believe that God loves people and that people matter to God . John 3 v.16. Loving relationships and a respect for people will saturate all we do as a church. 1 Cor 13. We believe in the Great Commission.Mark 16 v. 15 – 18. We are a church that is called to communicate the Gospel. This is our urgent and consistent responsibility. Matt 5 v.13 – 16. Rom 1 v.16

The Word of God is our manual for life. The Bible directs, guides and leads as we study, meditate and absorb the truth therein. It is the absolute standard by which we live our lives. We believe that the preached Word of God is one of the primary agents by which spiritual growth occurs. 2 Tim 3 v. 16 – 17. Eph 6 v. 17.

Our model for life and ministry is Jesus. We believe that our approach to ministry should relate to our environment and culture in relevancy. Acts 7 v.22. We believe in the miraculous power of God for today.

We believe people should serve, operate and steward the gifts that God has given them . We value peoples’ gifts and believe each person has a role to play in serving God. 1 Cor 12 and 14. Rom 12. We place a high priority in protecting the family unit and always aspire to place their needs above the needs of ministry.

We believe its normal for Christ followers to grow . Each person should develop and cultivate authenticity, integrity, a display of the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ and accountability in their lives. Jam 1 v.23. Gal 5 v.22 - 26

We believe in team ministry and seek to model unity in that . Psalm 133. John 17 v.20 – 23. We believe God is relational; because of this we pursue a sense of community in life with each other that reflects God’s character.

We believe the church should be led by people with leadership gifts . We look to identify such gifts in people, to delegate and empower individuals to serve in this capacity. Eph 4. Acts 6 v.2. – 6. Gal 3 v. 26 – 28. Rom 12 v.8.

We are wholly dependant on God and His power for every facet of church life . In and of ourselves we are unable to save a single soul, heal a sick person, deliver those in bondage… Any move toward self sufficiency is a move away from God. John 15 v.5 – 7.
